Rom Was Not Useless - amended

There was a nurse called Jenny who discovered Rom Houben was not vegetative. He could still think and was not unconscious. But the truth was he was a famous policeman 23 years ago, and he had got “The Best Policeman” award. When he investigated the mayor corruption case, the mayor pushed him to the highway from the 23rd floor. It was because Rom found a witness and evidence against the mayor.

There had been worldwide reports on Rom not being vegetative, and he was very frightened and worried. He thought the mayor and his partners would kill him. So he wanted to get a computer so that he could use his brain to tell other people the truth.

When Rom was in bed one night, he heard some step. He thought it was his nurse coming. Suddenly he could not breathe, because a man was pulling the tube and wanted to kill him. Luckily, Rom’s nurse heard it and stopped the man. The man was arrested by the police. The man said he wanted to perform mercy killing on Rom but the nurse stopped him. The police only told him to pay a fine.

When the man left the police station, he was shot and died after two minutes. He was from the gang which was the partner of the mayor. They thought the man would tell the truth.

Rom got the computer after two days, and told the police the truth. He could get an award from the police. The police of the USA found the mayor and all gang members went to prison. When Rom was taken to the garden of the hospital, a man who looked like the mayor used a lighter to burn Rom. He was very scared and other nurses used blankets to extinguish the fire. But the mayor ran away quickly.

When Rom went back to the hospital, the mayor appeared again. He poured a glass of wine into Rom’s room and turned on the lighter. The floor became a sea of fire. Rom was inside, and he could not say anything so no one could help him. Finally, he died and the mayor got the death penalty. There were many people at Rom’s memorial on that day.
